I’ve mentioned before that I’m a big soccer fan so I thought I’d check out this app since this large Italian soccer team has my favorite US player on it, Oguchi Onyewu. What better way to keep track of how he’s doing? Well, the app is hugely disappointing. Milan deserve a red card for this one. First, the news tab is fine, but really contains nothing different than what you would find on the home page of their website. The video tab is even worse. Two requested movies this week, The Bachelor (1999) and Katt Williams American Hustle. New episodes of The Simpsons, Family Guy, Curb, Bored to Death, Entourage, Drop Dead Diva, Dexter, Mad Men and Californication. Finishing up Nip Tuck and Six Feet Under soon. Spent a lot of time on Dexter The Game app review (hoped you liked it) and on Friday night getting MMS working and writing about it. Tell me what you liked or what you want to see more of. Yesterday ATT finally has let MMS start working. Not sure what it is? Well, basically its attaching photos or videos (for 3GS) to your text messages. There are many reasons to do this and I explain how easy this was to setup on my wife’s 3G iPhone and my jailbroken 3G iPhone. So again, why would you want MMS? Well say your at the zoo or park with your kids while your spouse is at work. I used to take a photo and email it to her. Not a big deal but its a lot faster to just attach one to a text. Dexter The Game, Marc Ecko Entertainment $5.99, is out just in time for the start of the fourth season of Showtime’s hit show Dexter. Season 4 starts Sunday night September 27th, but you can download the first episode here right now for free! The game follows the storyline of the first season (the ice truck killer) with the object being similar to that of the show. Serve justice by only killing the guilty (thereby satisfying your need to kill - aka your dark passenger), don’t let anyone know your identity and above all don’t get caught. So when I saw this app and then looked at the dozen or more mosquito bites on my wife’s legs I thought, awesome, she’s gonna love me. Then I thought a little more and wondered how the small speakers on the iPhone were going to put out an audio signal with enough quality to keep mosquitos away? But hey, I’m an idiot who didn’t even know you could keep mosquitos away with sound so I thought I’d give it a try. Nevertheless, I was skeptical to say the least. My wife has tried everything including citronella braclets around her ankles. Well, other than staying inside or taking a bath in deet, the mosquitos eat her up within minutes. So how did it do? OK, from the last poll I learned that Family Guy was way more popular than I realized. Final results for favorite TV shows on iPhone4idiots.com – True Blood (46 votes), Family Guy (37 votes), Dexter (28 votes), Weeds (22 votes) and South Park (16 votes).  So now that I have a little better understanding of what you are watching I’m curious to know where you are watching your downloads? For me, I watch over 90% on TV with the rest on my iPhone. I’m sure many of you watch exclusively on your mp4 player. I doubt many watch on there computer, but I’ve been surprised before. Also, if you watch somewhere that I didn’t list, please comment and I’ll add it to the poll.

So someone asked me why would you want to tether your iPhone? My reply was why wouldn’t you? Maybe your Comcast connection goes dead at home or you are on a five hour car trip with kids – its good to have options. And its sooooo easy that its perfect for idiots. Tethering is essentially using your iPhone as a modem. You plug it into a PC or Mac via USB and as long as you have a 3G connection, you have internet. All you need is OS 3.0 or higher on your iPhone, iTunes 8.2 or higher, Windows XP with at least Service Pack 2 (or Mac OS 10.5 or higher), and about 5 minutes to install one file. Update! This does not work with firmware 3.1.2 unless you patched commcenter file. This is more advanced to do. I’m looking into another idiot way and will let you know.
