Dr. Seuss, Hop on Pop, $3.99, is a fun storybook perfect for trying to get children into reading. The story is filled with silly uncomplicated rhymes and pictures. The only downside – your five year old taking the “Hop on Pop” part a little too seriously. Ouch! Like almost all Oceanhouse Media storybooks, this app is for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. There are three modes – read to me, read it myself and auto play. Words pop-up and are spoken when pictures are tapped and the audio and video quality is very professional. There isn’t an ethical or moral lesson to be found in this storybook. In fact, there really isn’t a story either. It’s just silly rhyme after rhyme. For my other children’s storybooks reviews.
