
One feature many people use in IE, Firefox, Chrome or Safari is to search for a keyword. Hit a certain key (like control and F) and type the word you are looking for and it searches the page for you. This can come in handy. Just the other day I was trying to solve error code when I found a forum post with over 200 replies. Reading through the entire thing was not practical. Thus, I entered the specific error code and found it appeared five times. I quickly was able to find the solution. What most people don’t realize is you can do the exact same thing on your iPhone, iPod or iPad. Just tap the Google search box at the top of the Safari browser and type the word for which you are searching. While it shows potential searches at the top the bottom shows how many instances of that keyword are on the current page. In the picture here I’m searching for the word reboot. At the bottom you can see that there is one match. Tap “Find reboot” and you are taken to the word and it is highlighted in yellow for you. Continue Reading…
