Ahh, sorry I haven't read up on jailbreaking a over a month and kind of forgot a little. If memory is correct you can't jailbrake 3.1.3 or if you do its a tethered jailbreak (That is everything you reboot you lose the jailbreak and have to do it again). There probably won't be any new solutions for GeoHot or the dev team until firmware 4.0 comes out most likely in June. If you can wait that long I would recommend that. If you can't just search modmyi.com for 3GS 3.1.3 jailbreak and read in there forums. You'll find the answer there for sure.
Let me know what you decide and hows it going as keeping up with jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones is getting a lot more confusing these days.
