So if you are like me you feel guilty letting your kids watch too much television. If its not TV, they are playing a computer game. If not a computer game, they are palying Wii or PS3 or Xbox. No wonder we are a fat nation. Anyway, I try to encourage “watching” activities that seem slightly more educational than Scooby Doo or Spongebob (trust me they get plenty of that too). Thus, I’ve been a pusher of iPhone storybooks for my toddlers. I mean, I don’t have the patience to teach them to read. Isn’t that what the Kindergarten teacher is for?? Well, maybe the iPhone can help do it. Hand your iPhone or iTouch to your child and go away. They are simple to navigate and either reads to your child or lets them try and do it themselves. Here is a short list of reviews of storybooks that I’ve used and like.
Berenstain Bears, Say Their Prayers
Dr. Suess ABC
Dr. Seuss, Fox in Socks
Dr. Seuss, Gertrude McFuzz
Dr. Seuss, Hop on Pop
